Jim (my offical hubby now), just took me to this amazing movie last night, and if you have an artist, songwriter or poet in your soul at all (and I think everyone does), you are going to want to see it. Or even if you just love great, uplifting true stories, you will want to see it. If you love music from the 60s and 70s, you will want to see it. Plus, this documentary is really finely crafted, great cinematography and animation throughout.
It is Searching for Sugarman and a remarkable true story.
I think it will only be at the 5th Avenue theatre in Vancouver, BC for another week since the film festival is coming to town next week, but it is bound to be somewhere else in your area. So make some time to find it and see it, you won’t regret it.
If you need a trailer here it is. The trailer is good the film is better:
I dreamed about this film all night long. If you do see it please comment here as I would like to get a dialogue going but I don’t want to be a spoiler for anyone either! I am always saying to my students, truth is stranger than fiction. This film proves it.
